This is just to say
I have eaten
the majority of the
cookie dough
that was in the fridge
it was supposed
to be “chilling”
so we could make
animal crackers later.
Forgive me
but I’m on a deadline
and we were inexplicably
out of dark chocolate.

We’re all in this together, which of course means that we’re all also chained to the house somewhat, you know? We need some kind of dark chocolate courier service.

We needed some William Carlos Williams up in here. Amen.

I do what I can, Elizabeth. I don’t get enough William Carlos Williams. Maybe it’s time to get “River of Words” out of the library again…hey, what was the name of that Emily Dickinson bio that Isaac liked?

I think it was just called “Emily”. Clever, huh?
