Higher! Higher! by Leslie Patricelli
Another great one from the board book fave Leslie Patricelli, Higher! Higher! is basically what happens when a little girl keeps demanding that her dad push her even higher on the swing. She goes as high as a giraffe, as high as a skyscraper, and higher, until finally she’s in outer space meeting an alien kid on a swing doing the same thing. A quick high five, and they fall back to their planets. Simple, but isn’t that how a kid going super high on a swing feels? Your kids will memorize this book instantly and read it to themselves. And it’s all worth it for the look of ecstasy on the swinging girl’s face.

Julie - check out this book. It’s very simple, but Jaya thinks it’s so funny. Good for beginning readers but the toddler set too. I think your kids will laugh.
